Remedial Massage Therapist
Katrina’s massage training began in Beijing in 2004. She has since continued on to complete the Certificate IV in Traditional Chinese Remedial Massage, Certificate IV in Remedial Massage, Diploma of Remedial Massage, Certificate of Hot stone, Certificate of lymphatic drainage and will complete the Bachelor of Exercise Science (pre-physiotherapy) at Griffith University in 2012.
The additional studies Katrina has undertaken in anatomy, biomechanics and neuroscience provide her with a thorough insight in to the origin of pain and a comprehensive understanding of how to treat it.
Katrina’s treatments are individually designed to focus on the concerns of her clients. All levels of massage pressure are available, however pressure is individually chosen for each client depending on their preference, the area being treated and the response from the soft tissue.
As a result of experience and further research, Katrina does not support the no pain no gain theory, rather she actively involves her clients in the treatment to establish an appropriate treatment pressure for a comfortable and effective treatment.
